Building a new home? As a HERS Rater, we can provide third party verification for the Energy Star Homes program. We do plan reviews and perform inspections of framing, moisture protection, air sealing, insulation, and mechanical systems. We test the ductwork and the whole house for air leakage in order to estimate the home's annual energy costs. Energy Star qualified homes receive utility discounts/rate reductions.
We also offer general contracting and consulting in green building, remodeling, and renewable energy including passive solar design, photovoltaics, and solar water heating.
Plus we can help you qualify for state and federal tax credits for energy efficiency. These tax credits are available for improvements to existing homes, for building new energy efficient homes, and for installing solar energy systems. |
